A chain-reaction accident on I-80 in Nebraska in September that caused the deaths of four family members has resulted in a wrongful-death lawsuit being filed in U.S. District Court in Lincoln against two truckers ard their carriers. One trucker was also killed in the accident, two others involved still face criminal charges, and one of these remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bond. A preliminary hearing in the criminal cases suggest the jailed trucker -- Josef Slezak, 36, of River Grove, Ill-- was in violation of HOS rules.
