Freightliner Trucks marked the production of the 500,000th vehicle at its Mount Holly, N.C. plant. The truck was a Freightliner Business Class® M2 106 utility vehicle ordered-up by Duke Energy. The Mount Holly plant, which employees around 1,550, opened in 1979 and underwent major renovations in 2002 for M2 production.
