Erie trucking company accused of skipping workers' comp

ERIE, PA -- A trucking company owner here is accused of not carrying required workers' compensation insurance while a contractor for the U.S. Postal Service.

Douglas A. Pifer, 53, is free on his own recognizance after he was arraigned Friday  on 10 counts of failure to insure and one count of theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received.
