As trucking industry sees gains, YRC continues struggle

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Although there are signs that the trucking industry is rebounding slightly from the 2008-2009 economic crisis, trucking giant YRC Worldwide continues to struggle.

Saddled with heavy debt from two large acquisitions mid-decade, YRC is asking drivers and dock works to accept additional concessions and pay cuts.

CEO Bill Zollars recently announced his retirement, seen by many as a plus to the survival of the company.
