Connecticut's Gov. Dannel P. Malloy ordered non-essential trucks off the road Monday, but asked residents to help truckers find safe places to ride out Hurricane Sandy. According to a report in the Connecticut Mirror, there are about two dozen truck stops in the state, and the state's largest trucking association fought last year to keep two rest areas open. The group says 1200 truck parking spaces are needed.
