Tennessee native John Compton is homeward bound to head up Pilot Flying J Oil Corp. as new CEO. Compton succeeds owner James Haslem who last month purchased the Cleveland Browns NFL franchise. Knoxville-based Pilot Flying J began as a single gas station and is now the nation's largest truck stop operator.
