The annual driver turnover rate at large carriers went above 100 percent to 106 in the 2Q according to the ATA. Estimated cost of recruitment is approximately $5,000 per driver and a 100 percent yearly turnover rate may cost large carriers with 500 drivers $2.5 million a year.
