A snapped bungee cord permanently blinded a Texas trucker in one eye and sent him to U.S. District court in Beaumont seeking damages from Dole Fresh Fruit Co. and Chevron. The injury occurred in April 2011 while Abe Coffman was securing a blown tire from a Dole trailer he picked up at a Chevron facility.
