Some striking South African truckers accept pay offer

"JOHANNESBURG -- Some of South Africa's truckers have informally accepted a revised pay offer but the main union has yet to decide on the deal, aimed at ending a week-long strike, the industry federation said on Saturday.

Three smaller transport unions agreed to a 9 percent wage increase this year and 8.5 percent next year, but the South African Allied Transport Workers' Union (SATAWU), the biggest union in the industry, was still mulling the offer part in the strike."
