NEW YORK--United Parcel Service (UPS) plans to hire 50,000 seasonal employees to work this holiday season the company announced Wednesday, with the hiring process beginning this month. The jobs are mostly for package sorters and driver helpers.
The announcement follows recent announcements by retailers Kohl's, Toys 'R' Us and Best Buy of their need for temporary workers this holiday season over and above last years' numbers.
