Road signs ordered to stop SHOUTING!

WASHINGTON, DC -- Typing in all-caps on the Internet is considered shouting, and evidently,The Federal Highway Administration thinks it’s’ time our road signs tone it down as well. A new regulation, based upon a federally-funded multi-million dollar study, is geared toward a rapidly aging population which better comprehends mixed-case lettering. There is no deadline to the regulations--changes to mixed-case signage can be implemented as old signs wear out.

Hours-of-service rule review extended
WASHINGTON, DC -- The White House Office of Management and Budget has extended its review of the proposed hours-of-service rule, which had been scheduled for publication Nov. 4.


Tornado truckers to get apology
CINCINNATI, OH -- Executives from Exel and J.M. Smucker Co. say they have revised policies which sent several truckers back to their rigs while tornado sirens blared. A line of storms swept across the country Tuesday, Oct. 26. Truck driving boards were jammed with outrage after the incident was reported to the OOIDA.
