Big Swift announces small layoff

MEMPHIS, TN -- Swift Transportation has notified the Tennessee Department of Labor of its intention to lay off over 50 employees from its central sales group office in Memphis beginning at the end of October.

Phoenix-based Swift is the the largest freight hauler in the world with over 16,000 trucks.
