Fixing ruined roads will take months

"Council Bluffs, Ia. - The roiling waters of a swollen Missouri River have wreaked the worst-ever highway damage in state history along some key stretches of western Iowa’s heavily traveled interstates. About 60 miles of interstate roads have been closed the past three months, forcing truckers, commuters and other travelers to take detours of 100 miles or more."
