Seattle truck inspector cited

A former Seattle truck inspector was fined $14,750 by the city Ethics and Elections Commission Wednesday for moonlighting at a job inspecting trucks for a commercial trucking company, Pacer Cartage.

Jeff Britsch, a 20-year Seattle Department of Transportation employee, told the commission he took the second job because he had recently divorced and filed for bankruptcy and needed the money. He resigned his city job in December as the ethics investigation was concluding.
