"Congress needs to quickly pass a new surface transportation bill focusing on highways, the leader of the largest trucking association told members of a U.S. House subcommittee on Tuesday.
Trucks move 70 percent of the nation’s freight, but the current highway system no longer meets the industries needs, said Barbara Windsor, chairman of the American Trucking Associations, to members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Subcommittee on Highways and Transit."
