“The 1099 provision doesn’t go into place until 2012, so time is of the essence in getting Congress to repeal this requirement before it ever goes into effect,” said OOIDA Director of Legislative Affairs Mike Joyce. For truckers, the provision could mean filing an IRS Form 1099 for every business and service provider where they spend $600 or more annually."
