BP's Svanberg says no to Volvo chair

Svanberg
LONDON -- Carl-Henric Svanberg, Chairman of BP, said in a statement yesterdays that he has no plans of taking up a senior post at another company.

A Swedish business journal on Tuesday quoted sources as saying that Svanberg was the lead candidate to take over the chairmanship of truck maker Volvo

Svanberg became chairman of BP in 2010, and later that year found himself defending the oil giant in the wake of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
