Hay wagons coming to Illinois interstates

A directive from the Illinois transportation secretary Friday will allow farmers and truck drivers to haul hay loads on the interstates. The idea is to accommodate the transport costs of farmers who have been hard-hit due to the drought.
The new policy takes effect immediately, expiring Dec. 31.
